Care Center
Beacon of Hope Family Care Center is a ministry of First Baptist Church committed to meeting the spiritual and physical needs of families. The center offers peer counseling, Bible studies, workshops on family and parenting topics, a food pantry, new and used clothing, baby equipment, and household items.
Programs and Services:
- One-to-one relationships with volunteer advisors
- Beacon of Hope is staffed by volunteers. These volunteers are not trained as professional counselors nor are they licensed by the State
- Opportunities for spiritual growth
- A library with books, videos, and pamphlets on parenting, marriage, spiritual growth, personal growth, money and home management
- Workshops on family and parenting topics
- Referrals to First Baptist pastors, community helping programs, or professional service providers
- Free pregnancy tests
- Beacon of Hope does not refer clients for abortions
- Opportunities to purchase new items through the Learn & Earn program
Learn & Earn Program:
Our "Learn & Earn" program enables participants to "earn" credits toward the purchase of new items. Credit can be earned by engaging in a variety of activities including Bible study, church attendance, reading books or pamphlets, watching videos, keeping children's immunizations up-to-date, working towards degree completion and employment.

- New & used children's clothes newborn to size 12
- New & used baby equipment
- Diapers and other baby care products
- Food
- Household items
- Dresser ministry

Tuesdays 6:00-8:00
2nd Tuesday of the Month: Noon - 2 PM
