Our desire at Beyond High School Ministry is to prepare high school students to serve the Lord their whole life.
We meet regularly on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the Swegles Building for Bible study. We also meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School. These times together include prayer, service nights and occasionally games.
We feel that the Sr. High ministry is a vital step in the lives of our young adults. We encourage teens to get involved in ministering to others; using their gifts, talents and abilities in every area of the Church. Because of this, we do not ordinarily refer to ourselves as a "youth group", but as a high school ministry.
Retreats and Conferences
Every year we attend conferences and retreats together. These times give us a chance to get know one another better, be challenged by dynamic speakers and have a lot of fun. In the past, we have attended retreats and conferences at Cedarville University, Lake Ann Camp, Skyview Baptist Ranch, Camp Barakel and others; maybe this year, we will go to your favorite place!
Events and Activities
Each year we plan many activities to draw the group closer to one another, learn from God's Word together and have a great time. We have events that happen on a regular basis like a S.N.A.C. (Sunday night after church) where we play games together, fellowship and eat; or other activities like scavenger hunts and all-nighters!
Our yearly missions trip is also a highlight and a time of great growth together in the Lord! Some places we have served are: Shepherd's Ministry, Hurricane Katrina Relief, Angel House, Skyview Baptist Ranch, Center for Student Missions (CSM); and our youth have gone on many short-term mission trips on their own.
